Jude Scott
Jude Scott was born in Perth, W.A.
Jude was drawn into the world of watercolour as a small child, fascinated by the exquisite, magical illustrations by renowned artist and author May Gibbs. Her first foray into art was as a potter for several years, followed by painting. Basically a self taught visual artist, Jude has studied with professional artists in watercolour, oils, pastels, acrylics and drawing.
An ardent traveller, Jude has enjoyed many trips into Western Australia’s stunning outback where brilliancy of light and clarity of rich glowing colours have dazzled and captivated Jude, she strives to include these qualities in her paintings. A recent two month trip to France also added strengthened focus and new dimension to her works.
This award winning artist is represented by Boranup Gallery in the beautiful Karri forest area of the Margaret River region of south west Western Australia.
Jude has taught watercolour at the Atwell Gallery, Alfred Cove for the past four years, regularly demonstrates and runs workshops during the year.
